THE BOOK || My best friend Ruben was about to celebrate his birthday and in order to commemorate this I decided to do something special. He has a love for photography, and our group of friends (for which he is the connecting factor) is diverse, complex and filled with a range of people who at first glance might be very different and have little in common; But the opposite is true.

I decided to take portraits of everyone in our group of friends. Portraits to highlight parts of their personality or what defines them or makes them unique. These portraits were then gathered in a book to celebrate friendship, love, individuality and diversity.

To introduce "The Book" to my friend at his birthday party I also created a video trailer, featuring some behind the scenes making of footage together with a montage of the images inside the book.
