ALKEBULAN || Meaning “Mother of Mankind” is the original indigenous name for the continent now known as Africa. The Citizens of Alkebulan are on a mission to change the perception of Africa through different means and media, culminating in a festival at the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam. The movement represents what unites us all: diversity, individuality, colour, pride, respect, and everything in between. I created a series of images to capture that idea and the representatives of the movement. Art direction by Keyhe Delsink.
